
Our first attempt at a product video was less than stellar. We swapped out the old video with a testimonial video a while ago, but we were missing anything that truly showed our product in detail to the people that wanted to see it. We already had a great relationship with Allan Branch and the team at Less Everything, the company behind Less Accounting and video agency Less Films.
About a month after we started, we had a rough cut of our product video to review. We A/B tested the new video on our homepage against the existing testimonial video that was on there previously. Video may not be the best medium to sell every product. If you're considering building a product video, I hope that our experiences help you make the right choices along the way, and that you end up with a video that actually does what it needs to: gets people to buy.
